Features · MCP
Your AI writes with the book in mind.
MCP is the open standard AI assistants use to talk to other software. Author speaks it through Geenius OS.
Eleven areas, every action documented.
Once Author is added to your Geenius OS workspace, your AI has a tool called geenius_author. It can read and write scenes, add events and strands, ask for a character's state, run the checks, save versions, make reader links and export. A twelfth area syncs profiles.
- books, manuscript, scenes, cast, strands, events, story, maps, versions, readers, export
- A lean tool list: one tool per area, details on request
- Writes use revisions, so it cannot overwrite a newer edit of yours

- Pre-betaPremium and Max
Your own AI connected to your books is part of Premium and Max. A Geenius OS Pro plan includes Author Pro only, so it does not include the door.

Your AI writes on its own subscription. Author never writes your book by itself.
Questions
About connecting.
Does Author write the book for me?
No. Author has no built-in AI. On Premium and Max you can connect your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT or Grok) through Geenius OS, and it can read the book, draft scenes into your manuscript and run the checks. What goes in the book is your decision.
How do I connect my AI?
Author must be added to your Geenius OS workspace, and your plan must be Premium or Max. Add the Geenius OS connector in your AI and sign in. The steps are in Use with your AI.
Why is the AI connection not on Pro?
The connection for your own AI is part of Premium and Max. On Pro you use the web app only. A Geenius OS Pro plan includes Author Pro.
Can my AI overwrite my text?
Not by accident. To replace text a person wrote in the app, the AI must read the scene first and pass its revision. It is also advised to save a version before rewriting prose.
